On Wednesday December 3rd eleven pupils from St. Michael’s travelled to Cavan Swimming Pool to take part in a Swimming Gala. There were approximately twenty schools taking part on the day. The Gala began shortly after 10.00 and finished at approximately 4.30. It was a long day!
Most of St. Michael’s pupils took part in one swimming event, with many of them also swimming in the relay race at the end. While everyone did their best, and did the school proud, the following pupils got a medal – Emma Sherlock, Finn Sherlock, Harry McMullen, Caoimhe Mullen and Senan Mullen. Well done everyone!
Many thanks to Pauline Smyth, Lorraine Mullen, Collette Sherlock, Orla McMullen and Johanna Caffrey who travelled on the day.

There are 252wonderful pupils, boys and girls in classes from Junior Infants to sixth. We encourage our pupils to partake of a variety of activities – musical, dramatic, sporting, artistic, as well as academic.
