On Thursday, November 5th 6th class with their teacher Ms. Busby and helper Mrs. Wilkinson went on a science visit to Ballybay Wetlands Centre. There Ursula did many science experiments with them.
First they went pond dipping where they saw newts and water beetles. Then they did some Dendrochronology, a scientific way of looking at tree barks, They also looked at how plants absorb water, and finished with a walk along the pontoon on the lake. A pontoon is like a walkway made up of tying a lot of plastic barrels.
It was a great day out.
