Our Student Council is a group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.

Aims 

To ensure that our school is a safe and happy place for children.

To ensure that children have a place to voice their opinion/concerns.

To encourage children to make suggestions for improvements to our school.

What will the Student Council do?

The student council meet regularly with Ms. Amanda to discuss ways of how we can improve our school for our pupils. The members of the council will then share feedback from these meetings with their classes.  Members of the student council will be responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed, such as planning fundraising events and leading assemblies. 

Who are in the Student Council?

The Student Council is made up of pupils from 3rd to 6th class.

A good student council member should be:

Our Student Council Achievements

We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, commitment and creativity that our Student Council brings to our school community. Their efforts help shape a more engaging, supportive and equal environment for everyone. From organising student-led initiatives to strengthening communication between pupils and staff, their leadership continues to make a meaningful difference throughout the school. 

Some of the most recent ways that they have improved school life include: 

Leading the Anti-Bullying/Kindness Week

Organising and leading the Halloween Danceathon fundraiser (especially manning the sweet table!)

Purchasing nets for existing goalposts 

Purchasing new goalposts and nets for senior classes 

Providing feedback to school management regarding policy decisions (Bí Cineálta Policy) and the school's hot lunch programme.
