We are incredibly proud of the success of our recent Our Shoes campaign, organised and led by our fantastic Student Council. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we collected a wonderful number of pre-loved sports shoes that will now begin a second life helping children in Southern Africa.
The shoes donated through the campaign are sent to children living in townships and disadvantaged communities in South Africa and neighbouring regions, where access to proper footwear can often be a major challenge. Many children need shoes to attend school, take part in sports, and travel safely each day.
Through the work of Our Shoes, the donated shoes are distributed to children and schools in communities including Khayelitsha in Cape Town, helping provide comfort, dignity, and opportunities for young people. The charity also works with local organisations and schools to ensure the shoes reach children who need them most.
We would like to sincerely thank every family who donated shoes and supported the campaign. Your kindness will make a real difference to children’s lives while also helping reduce waste by giving shoes a new purpose.
A special thank you goes to our Student Council for their leadership, enthusiasm, and hard work in organising and promoting the campaign throughout the school. We are very proud of the care and community spirit they showed in helping others across the world.
